What Is It

Currently: A library and a suite of UI apps designed to enhance and automate operations in scientific research, primarily within the LLM/agents domain. The library provides a framework for the research process, allowing for data extraction from articles, idea generation, and pipeline creation. Currently available tools include Extractum (for extracting data from articles), with Atlas (for domain navigation) coming soon.

Plan: To build a comprehensive ecosystem of UI apps and libraries aimed at boosting or fully automating research operations in AI, IT, and mathematics—areas where experiments can be conducted virtually, and to boost specific research ops in other areas. Operations includes: choosing research topics and identifying crucial directions to building and verifying hypotheses, constructing and conducting experiments, interpreting results, and preparing articles.

Vision: A fully autonomous research lab capable of identifying and solving humanity's most complex problems.

Structure

  1. The AutoS library consists of four main modules, each with associated UI apps. We are currently focusing on the Genesis and Cortex modules. The modules are as follows:
    1. Cortex: identifies crucial, solvable points in scientific domains.
    2. Genesis: generates ideas, formulates hypotheses, and creates experiment plans.
    3. Praxis: writes and runs code, develops tools, and obtains experimental results.
    4. Synthesis: interprets results, conducts analytics, and produces articles.
    5. Metacortex: in the future, we plan to develop Metacortex, which will improve and analyze all components of the system.
  2. There are several apps in development on a different stages:
    1. Extractum: extracts and displays data and artifacts from scientific articles.
    2. Atlas: semantic to exploring and identifying trends in scientific domains.
    3. News: essense of the most important events/articles/repos today.
    4. Eureka: generates novel ideas based on existing scientific knowledge.
